Dear all Kamboj fellows,
My name is Baldev Kumar and I am currently working as a German language Specialist in a reputed MNC at Bangalore. For a long time I had this desire in me to share my experiences, which I have gained through my work and education, with you all. All I was looking for was a platform by using which I could reach to maximum number of kamboj youth. The youth targeted here is the one who spend innumerable sleepless nights just thinking about the kind of education which could ensure them a good job or at least make their chances of getting a good one brighter. And for doing this I have chosen our own Kamboj-society Website, keeping in mind the kind of popularity it enjoys among our educated kamboj youth.
Having been brought up in a very humble family in Sirsa, I am very much aware of the fact how much it is difficult for kamboj boys and girls to build a career. We people keep earning degrees after degrees only to realize in the end that all those years and hard work put in getting those degrees were worthless or to say were wasted. Then we start mourning that there are not enough jobs and the ones which are government can never be had because for that you need political links and too much of bribe. Having worked in private sector for almost two and half years I wish to ask you all WHY DON'T YOU TRY YOUR LUCK IN PRIVATE SECTOR. Now you may ask that is there something up to do which will make you worth getting a job in these private companies, the ones which you see in Gurgoan , Delhi , Noida, Banaglore, Pune, Mumbai and some of them in Chandigarh. I have got the answer and this is:
LEARN ANY OF THE BELOW LISTED FOREIGN LANGUAGES:
German
French
Spanish
Chinese
Japanese
Dutch
Korean
Even if you are able to complete up to FOUR OR FIVE LEVELS of any of these seven foreign languages, your chances of getting a well-paid job in the kind of MNC I work for will be immense. And I mean it. All you need to put in is one or in some cases one and half year of hard work and you will stand in a very good position of being EMPLOYED. There is not a single kind of an education which can give you so much assurance of a job and that too at the cost of one and half year of hard work. There are very good government and foreign institutes in India which run courses in these languages through out the year. For example for learning German there is Max-Mueller Bhavan that has its branches in Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai. There is also a School of German Language (SOGL) in Chandigarh, which is the only private institute in north India affiliated with Max-Mueller Bhavan. In the same way there is Alliance Francaise where you can learn French. It has its centers in Chandigarh, Delhi, Pune and in some other big cities. And as far as other five languages are concerned you can learn them in Delhi only. Kindly search Institutes for them in the Internet. Before getting enrolled make sure that the institute is recognized by the Embassy of the respective native country. For example Institutes like Max-Muller Bhavan and Alliance Francaise are recognized by German and French embassies respectively and thus all the courses run by them are recognized all over the world. If you learn a foreign language from an unrecognized institute, you will be making a big mistake. Whatever certificates they award to you are not useful and not recognized AT ALL. No company recognizes them or their certificates. So kindly BEWARE.
In Government Institutes you have Jawaharlal Nehru University (for all languages), Delhi University (for all languages), and Punjabi University (French). There are many more but I think these will be the nearest to you people living in Haryana, Punjab or UP. The advantage of learning a foreign language from one of these above-mentioned universities is double fold. On the one hand you learn a language and on the other hand you also earn a degree. If you have done 10+2 and are now thinking of taking up Arts Stream then go for a graduation at JNU or DU with one of these languages as one option. And if you are already a graduate then you can learn four or five levels of one of these foreign languages from Institutions like Max-Mueller Bhavan (German) and then try doing Master in that language at JNU or DU.
My only objective behind writing this column is to let my kamboj young fellows know an study option which I think and believe will surely help you find a good job and thus lead a decent life.
