Hello everyone, I have a 2014 jeep cherokee with the 3.6 and the 845re trans, attempting to program new dealer installed tcm, using wi-tech and the cardaq-m. During the process it has me shut the key off before downloading the logical block data for 30 seconds, At this point in time wi-tech looses comm to vci and fails the progrmming event. What am i missing? i have programmed many FCA vehicles in the past first time coming across this problem. Thanks in advance for any in sight.
It possibly has another issue in the vehicle look for a secondary DLC like for a GPS unit or something similar, Possible the Cardaq M but as I stated I've never used one myself would try a J2534 Cardaq +3 if you have access to one.
Blue Topology is what you should have with wiTECH and that is what I had with that 1500 back in 2014 plugged into the same vehicle the valvebody programmed without issue. So it had to be something in the vehicle when the TCM flash was enabled.
I seem to remember something about the newer FCA vehicles were having issues while programming with the Cardaq-M unless it had the expansion module. I dont remember the exact scenario because I never owner an M, always the 2 and now have a 3+, anyway, I have an OE MDP and could remote in and see if that works if you get in a bind. Im on the Autel Remote Expert system and my code is 376CY3
I just did one in a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, shop replaced the TCM/Valve Body with a new OEM part. In Witech programming it instructed me to shut off the key but that is not possible with a push button start on this vehicle. I just left the ignition on, and the programming went great.
You can program your 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee remote yourself at home with these simple instructions.
***Keep in mind you must have a working/programmed remote already in order to program an additional remote yourself at home. If you do not have a working remote now, you will have to take the remote to a dealer or locksmith for programming.
1. Press [LOCK] button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize transmitter. Attempt to function transmitter, if working as designed discontinue programming.
2. Turn ignition to the run position (Allow ignition chimes to stop).
3. Using original (working) transmitter, press and hold the [UNLOCK] button on the transmitter for between 4 and 10 seconds.
4. Continue to hold the [UNLOCK] button and press the [PANIC] button. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (Allow 3 seconds for chime to sound).
5. Press a button on all transmitters to be programmed into the system including any previously programmed transmitters; a chime will sound when each transmitter has been programmed.
6. Turn the ignition to OFF position to exit the transmitter programming mode.
