Price Increase Notice

Hi All,

Today I received a letter from the society saying there is cost escalations from the builder and hence they are increasing the price per sq ft by Rs 69 and to pay the installment at the new price within 2 months. The letter is not very clear about why is this increase in price at this point? and what is that they are asking us to pay. They have not spoken anything about the timelines for allotment, Registeration and completing the project. 

Did any of you received such letter? 

Is this price increase acceptable/legitimate?

How to take it forward?

 Any updates on the same? The builder cannot escalate the price at random and installments have to be paid provided that there is work completed stage wise.What about the money paid earlier and the interest that it has accrued? Is there someone who can file an RTI application or file a mass consumer complaint ? It has been 10 years since anything has progressed......
