Its been like this since the Revenant update, before that I didn't even knew this error was a thing. I've tried contacting the support team but the only thing they seem to know is to say sorry and forget about your existence, or at least that's the treatment I got.
Just happened to me as well, lost a bunch of rewards. My xbox was still connected just fine even though Warframe couldn't be bothered to keep the mission going. This was my first mission of the day, so the session wasn't stale yet. Upon trying to log back in, I got the "Unable to connect" message. But I'm sure all the Digital Extremes apologists will be jumping to defend this woefully bad infrastructure. And of course Digital Extremes will NEVER mention that there was an outage, let alone apologize for the inconvenience or unprofessionalism.
Just because your connection to Xbox Live or whatever it is called is Ok that doesn't mean your connection between host and clients is ok. That said I did get a "network not responding" yesterday and I play solo so it is possible a couple of DE's hamsters got loose.
When these occur, I have no interruptions in streaming video, or other apps which would indicate if they'd lost connection. Additionally, I have servers that would show an outage in logs, not to mention users who would complain. Only Warframe's servers show any kind of issue. I realize this doesn't prove where the fault lies, but it's compelling evidence.

But if there are backbone issues it is possible that only servers in certain countries are affected. I'm not sure where you are in relation to the local master servers that run the game but I know I've been blamed for servers I manage in the UK being "down" for US users when in fact there were backbones issues in the US. The last one was only a couple of weeks ago when Comcast were having issues.
If it were a general issue the forums would be on fire the same as they always are if DE are experiencing serious issues and they aren't (currently) so I can only assume the problem is somewhere between you and the nearest node controlling squads.
Yes because your client has to report mission progress, rewards and the like back to the master node which then feeds that back to the game databases. If the connection between you and the master node breaks the client can't force a host migration to try and save the session if there are no other hoists in the squad. I play almost exclusively solo and whilst me losing items due to network issues is very rare it has happened in the past even though my connection seemed fine to everything else.
Are you on Sky Q by any chance? I had a lot of disconnects (in missions, in relays, in dojo) and I saw they happened every 30 minutes, precisely. Several other people experienced the same thing and the common factor was Sky. Some people went back to the old pre-Q router and that fixed it; I didn't have that option, but disabling IPv6 did work. Might be worth a try.
When starting up a mission in public, the loading screen freezes up sometimes and I experience a host migration or straight up get kicked out and am back in the orbiter. This combined with frequent "Network not Responding" made me think that something may have been wrong with my internet connection, but it seems as though the issue is only related to Warframe for some reason.
It could be a problem on my end. But I played with several people in several different missions and the host would pick a node and we would both accept and begin to load into the mission. I would make it past the landing craft scene but between the end of the and actually showing up on the map I would lose connection to host and get dumped back to my orbiter. Before I could even load back into my orbiter then game would ask me if I wanted to reconnect to my squad. So I did every time and the missions would work fine...
Yes, this is definitely an issue. I've been having this happen pretty consistently since the last update kicked off. Can we please get a fix for this because it's pretty annoying when you're trying to help a friend out only to be kicked out at the start of every mission...
Wen im loading in to mission with players got information lost connection to host. Then im go back to orbiter and got information that my previous mission was unexpectedly interrupted.Would you like to reconnect to the squad?
My boyfriend and I play together almost daily but since yesterday we've had nothing but issues. Almost every mission we entered together (public or just us) one of us got kicked and had to either rejoin when prompted or be invited back. It's been extremely annoying.
I've had the same issue but it's actually been getting worse when it started it was maybe 1 or 2 out of every 10 missions or so but the last day or 2 it pretty much every mission pretty annoying when trying to play with friends
Ever since the Glass Maker update this has been happening consistently. I don't know what new coding was added but I have been having this since then. By no means do I have bad internet. An before this update I never had this issue.
yeah this is defiently a bad major issue, whether its because they working from home and there are glitches now happeing, ive even seen it happen on live twitch dev streams so i know its major when they are expereincing it as well! its happened all day today really bad hope they can find out what is wrong with the game asap ?
e; as an example, trying to do today's Sortie 1 (Plains): after being randomly disconnected and booted twice, tried a third time, spawned in with 2 mins left to find 3 caches, suffered the usual couple of lockups while other people spawned in, the cache clock abruptly reset to 7 minutes, then the objective zone disappeared from the minimap altogether and the yellow marker moved to the Cetus gate (wtf?), even though you still got 'ABANDONING OBJECTIVE' if you strayed too far from the spawn point. At which point I aborted, because sod that for a game of soldiers.
This is literally the same bs response I got. The 1st suggestion didn't work so I told them and then they suggested the same second suggestion. I almost feel like it's a bot response since they didn't seem to actually read what I typed up and sent the same word for word suggestions. I even linked this post so they could see MULTIPLE people having the same issue since this last update.
It started happening sometimes after railjack revised. Every single time I started a railjack mission, or if others hosted, it would kick everyone and give us host migration. The workaround for this was to launch a mission from rj console and then invite people to the mission. Getting host migration or host connection loss wasn't that constant. Now it happens with everything. Can't join a single recruit channel squad without it happening.
If I try to join a node and it finds an open squad, it gives me a host connection loss and another load screen back to orbiter. It's actually forcing us to play on solo mode. The worst part is farming murmurs or helping others with theirs, because host migration actually stops thralls from spawning, it's gamebreaking for liches in a squad.
It's getting to the point where I'm starting to not feel like playing. Living in loading screens over and over and forcing us to get extra ones because we have to abort. We spend more time loading than playing.
