Whyis it that the people at Direct TV are nothing but a bunch of liars, cheats, scammers? I have been a customer of Direct TV and their predecessor for almost thirty years, but when ATT got them, it all went to pot They are scamming me and cheating me because they promised to deliver certain local t.v. channels, and they are now are NOT doing it! They LIE and say it is the other party's fault when I know it is not! They are bunch of because when you call to complain they blow you off and blame the other party (standard reply!). I have NOT seen a reduction in my bill eve if they are NOT delivering all that they promised and claim. Since they are NOT delivering what I am paying and have been paying for for almost thirty years, I am reporting them to the FCC, to the local BBB, and to our state communications office! They won't have to lie to me or cheat me much longer since I am soon GONE for GOOD. Goodbye to the liars!

Folks complain when local station owners pull their channels from providers like DirecTV demanding more money.

And folks complain that their subscription rates are too high.

So what are service providers like Dish, Comcast and DirecTV to do?

Here's a suggestion. File a complaint with the FCC. Ask that the FCC allow service providers to deliver another network station instead. That would stop this BS in a heartbeat. After all, these are FREE over-the-air TV stations. Why should TV providers have to pay them anything?

Since 2010, millions of Americans have seen dark screens instead of watching their favorite channels due to more than 1,000 broadcaster-initiated blackouts. With 230 blackouts, 2019 is the worst year for TV blackouts on record.

In 2016, when Mitch McConnell refused to give Judge Merrick Garland the respect of a hearing or a vote after President Obama nominated him for a seat on the United States Supreme Court, he and his Republican colleagues justified the denial on the grounds of something they called the Biden Rule. Now that the tables are turned, McConnell and his GOP caucus have taken a different position. Now, they say that the sitting president ought to fill the seat because the majority of senators are of the same party. This is not only hypocritical, but it is contrary to the Constitution. There is nothing in the Constitution that says that judgeships ought to be filled only when there is no election or when the president and the senate majority are of the same party. Moreover, the way Mitch McConnell abused the filibuster to deny President Obama many lower court picks until the Republicans gained a majority in the senate was tantamount to theft. No one party owns judgeships, but President Obama was elected with a majority of both the popular vote and the Electoral College. His nominees ought to have been respected and given a vote. McConnell and the GOP have taken full advantage of the tyranny of the minority built into the Electoral College and in the structure of the United States Senate.

When we look at the measure of sustenance and joy in the nation, we can see why millions of US groan. The Washington Post reports that tens of millions of Americans are now food insecure because of the pandemic. Laura Reiley writes:

No one in our government could have prevented the coronavirus pandemic, but the response of Trump and the GOP has made the pandemic so much worse in the United States than it ought to have been. We hear Trump on tape telling author Bob Woodward that he was lying to the American people. Once health scientists began to understand how the virus is spread, they suggested that people wear masks in public. Trump has made mask wearing a them and us proposition.

The United States leads the world in the number of cases and deaths. As of this writing, more than 7 million people have contracted the virus in the United States, and more than 200 thousand have died.

Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee because most Democratic voters rejected the more progressive candidates and their positions. If the country ends up with some version of Medicare for All, it will be because the Republicans have succeeded in their quest to have their illegitimate Supreme Court declare the ACA unconstitutional, and Medicare for All becomes the next best method for getting to the goal of universal health care. An aside, healthcare is a universal human right, so it is correct that undocumented people be included in any plan that will provide universal healthcare. Republicans want to make this a bad thing.

Republicans will howl that the Democrats want to end the filibuster in the Senate, allow DC and Puerto Rico to become states, and increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court. Joe Biden is an institutionalist, and he still has hope that the Senate will come back to its traditional ways of operating. I, and many other progressives, do not share his optimism. Liars, hypocrites, thieves, and cheats will do what they do as long as they have the power to do it

Most people might consider themselves to be honest for the most part. As Christians continue to dilute the Word of God with compromise, one might think I do not steal as in armed robbery or petty theft. I do not willingly deceive other people. I would never cheat another person. Ahem. Do you tithe? (I think that speaks for itself) One tenth of everything you have including time, talent and treasure belongs to God. Do you give the Lord at least two and one-half hours a day by studying His Word, communicating through prayer, and/or worshiping His Name? Do you use your natural abilities to make His Name Great? Do you give the House of God one tenth of ALL your income? Do you deceive others by professing to be a believer but living like every other nonbeliever? Do you cheat your employer by wasting time that they are paying for? Do you work as to the Lord in every endeavor surrounding your life even career in humility and love? There is no condemnation here, friend just stark revelation. As Children of God it is time to be honest with ourselves.

To share all that belongs to Jesus Christ we must trust God with our entire life. Expectation based on faith in the confident hope of what is to come releases our need for satisfaction according to this world. The world is not fair. It is unjust so we must stop seeking justice and restitution in this life in exchange for the Kingdom of God. To live for this world and its reward will lead to death one day. You will find it easier to accept the insults of injustice and let yourself be cheated by the world when you begin to put all of your faith, love and trust in Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 6:7-11) To tithe our life requires seeking our reward and prize in the Kingdom of Heaven. Knowing that this world is filled with injustice, we release it from fulfilling our expectation and satisfaction allowing Jesus to fill our life with His Goodness, Grace and Mercy that makes way for His Provision, Promises, Blessing and Favor in our life.

He is the God of the father longing to be reunited with his son, the mother whose heart never quite heals from the loss of her child.
