The Education Lab of SELCO Foundation invites you to the 💥“Invention Fair 2018”💥
Invention Fair celebrates the spirit of inquiry and invention in our children.It attempts to make us think about the education that can create the next generation who think about inclusiveness, sustainability, and problem-solving!
"Invention and Sustainability Education programme" has been piloted for students of Grades VI-IX in over 100 Government schools across rural and tribal areas of Karnataka and Orissa namely Belthangady, Yadgir, and Kalahandi. Invention Fair 2018 is an end-of-year showcase of the same.
In this part we are organizing this Year Yadgir intervention schools Invention fair on 28th Feb 2018 at GMPS Koliwada Yadgir.
Invention Fair is not just about the demonstration of students' learning, but more importantly on how they have applied this knowledge in their daily lives, figured out solutions and thought holistically about the problems around them.This year, the students have identified issues across the sectors of agriculture, water, energy, health, and safety. Their choice of problems to work on and the use of locally available materials, local skills, recycled materials reflect a sensitivity to their surroundings and empathy for problems faced by those around them. The young inquisitive minds, innovators, problem solvers from classrooms get a platform through "Invention & Sustainability Education programme" to develop innovations that are sustainable and in the long run, can help in the creation of sustainable villages and social entrepreneurs!
