On March 17, 2004, around one year after the events of Silent Assassin, Agent 47 is shot and critically wounded while carrying out a mission in Paris for his employers, the International Contracts Agency (ICA). Returning to his hotel room, he reflects on his past, beginning with his escape from Romanian special forces after killing his creator, Dr. Otto Ort-Meyer, at his own facility. 47 then recalls various contracts he carried out over the years, including the assassination of two fetishists who had kidnapped a client's daughter in Romania; the killing of a black marketeer in Kamchatka selling weapons to terrorists, and the destruction of their weapon labs aboard a submarine; the murder of a corrupt nobleman and his son in the United Kingdom; the assassination of a biker crime lord in Rotterdam; and the killings of three of his five genetic "fathers", namely gunrunner Arkadij Jegorov, who the bikers were doing business with in Rotterdam, terrorist Frantz Fuchs - incidentally, the brother of the black marketeer in Kamchatka - in a hotel in Budapest, and Triad boss Lee Hong in Hong Kong.

I myself think more contracts on this edition of the game would be wonderful as there are pretty much none to be found and the only ones you CAN find are usually (as i mentioned before) pretty nooby. If you DO find a good one, you can also share it but remember to give credit to the original creator at the start.

Try to install HCCE and see if it can work with recreation. I have suspicion that it might work, because originally Urben said it wouldnt work with Stadia, but I installed it and got it to work. If you install it and are able to recreate contracts, then I can give you a lot of quality contracts.

By the way, thanks for the incredible work of DGVoodoo2, it helps a lot with Splinter Cell 1's Shadows. Furthermore, do some of you guys have better tools to help investigate the machine-code of hitman's executable? From my understanding, the best one can do is to reverse engineer the code of the .exe , but then you'll not even see the original logic of the code, not even to mention comments in the code. I simply used the HxD hex-editor to apply your mentioned fixes to my .exe and I noticed a lot of the "FF 92 FC 00 00 00" hexadecimal characters in the .exe.

In the third part of the popular series, 47 wakes up trapped in a dingy hotel room, and Io tells the story of the bald assassin's plight via a series of often surreal flashbacks to justify why it is you've been hired to kill a succession of henchmen. Split into 12 'contracts' and set across distinct and often gorgeous locales (including Hong Kong, France, England and Russia), the game follows the template laid down by Silent Assassin in that you're given a few basic mission goals and left to your own devices as to how to achieve them.

Having said that, the fact that Contracts doesn't punish the player too hard for alerting guards and playing the Rambo mass murderer is something of a relief for the simple reason that the game would otherwise risk becoming ridiculously frustrating. Part of the fun, for many, may well be to charge through the game sightseeing, then pick from favourite 'contracts' and attempt to win the extra weaponry rewards - offered by completing each contract 'cleanly', with no blood on your hands and no-one the wiser to your presence. Regardless of your gaming preference though, it's a pleasant relief to be able to tackle a level via your own route, with your own weapons and choice of disguise (or not). No one's forcing you to do it either way. At the very least Io deserves praise for even attempting to pull off such a feat.

mind-blowing performance of jesper kyd.tingles the senses!the use of instruments is really good.both modern and traditional music instruments from various countries have been used in the hitman contracts.really great work by eidos and jesper kyd

Hitman: Contracts is a third-person stealth game. Players take the role of "47", a hitman who is unlucky enough to get shot, and falls to the floor dying. The whole game takes place in "flashbacks", where 47 is reminiscing about past missions, some of which were previously seen in Hitman: Codename 47, the first game from the Hitman series.

Game is fairly challenging, but not to where you'll be banging your head against the wall. Can be won with moderate preserverance.

The Bad
Actually, pretty much nothing. If there was something wrong, I would say the lack of cohesion in the story. All of the hits you go on seem pretty unrelated, and I don't really understand the backstory that it tries to show with its flashbacks. Of course, that's probably because I never played the first two games! Best I can tell is you're some kind of cloned dude specifically designed for assassination (the first level is riddled with dead bodies of guys who look just like you).

The Bottom Line
Basically, you're a hitman (duh!) who is hired out by various clients to knock off various people around the world. You never meet these clients, however, and all the deals are done through an intermediary, a British woman who is never identified.

Hitman: Contracts continues the gameplay elements that made the first two games so popular. You're still a hitman who has to either rely on stealth or weaponry to take out his targets, and there are a lot of weapons to utilize! Unfortunately, players are encouraged to take a more careful route, as there's a rating system that acts as an incentive for stealthy play. You can only get the title "Silent Assassin" if you manage to kill your targets - and only your targets - without triggering any alarms or making anyone suspicious.
