I compiled with the commands
  • ./configure –shared
  • make depend
  • make
But still throwing an error as:

radha@radha-Lenovo-IdeaPad-S340-14IIL:~/kaldi/src$ make
The version of configure script matches kaldi.mk version. Good.
test -d /home/radha/kaldi/src/lib || mkdir /home/radha/kaldi/src/lib

Looks like you first compiled with static, then reconfigured with the shared. You need to cleanup the old object files before that. Run "make clean" and then "make" again and it should be fine.

Thanks a lot ,it worked. I was stuck here since 2 days and surfed many blogs and tutorials. Finally I can able to execute the first one. Will look forward to explore more using KALDI.
