Computing confidence scores from lattice

Dear all,

From the KALDI code e.g.

http://kaldi-asr.org/doc/classkaldi_1_1MinimumBayesRisk.html

it is not straightforward to extract the computation from a lattice to the word confidence score as outputted by lattice-to-ctm-conf

Do you know any reference that was used for the computation of the word confidence from  a decoding output lattice? Or just the math function?
