issues installing Kaldi (with the command wget).

I use Ubuntu 14.04 and have been trying to install Kaldi but this is where it gets stuck!

Error in proxy URL ftp://http//ubanerjee17:banerj...@202.141.80.30:3128/: Must be HTTP > > I tried changing this to HTTP using gksudo gedit/etc/bash.bashrc , but in vain!

I also tried to fix the proxy authentication problem in all the ways mentioned in askubuntu...also in vain.

Can someone please assist me with this problem so I can proceed with the installation?

looks like you have proxy configured in wget (either environment variables or in ~/.wgetrc) and probably it's not configured in a valid way -- notice the message about proxy being contacted.

Check you proxy config in $HOME/.bashrc or $HOME/.profile
