I have one gpu card and I cannot change gpu mode , how can I change my code,then kaldi can run on the gpu default mode

If you have one GPU card and you set --num-jobs-initial and --num-jobs-final both to 1, it should work OK I think.

for nnet3/chain training, there is also the option --use-gpu=wait, IIRC, no?

I think --use-gpu=wait does not work unless you set exclusive mode.
