kaldi speaker identification file voxceleb1_test_v2.txt

I was looking at the kaldi speaker identification module, and am not able to figure out where the file voxceleb1_test_v2.txt comes from. It is read by kaldi-egs/egs/voxceleb/v2/local/make_voxceleb1_v2.pl . 

I also don't understand what the file is used for. I googled for the file name, and found a comment in a github commit that said "A file containing a list of trial pairs for the verification task of the new version of VoxCeleb1". The 2019 ICASSP paper makes no mention of any such file. Is it needed for some verification?

There are two lists because Voxceleb released a first version,  (v1), then they modified the names of the files and released a second version (v2). v2 matches the filenames you can download from Voxceleb webpage

This file is used to generate the trial pairs for SV.
