Hi,

The admin of our lab would like to install qsub. This will enable him to set per-user limits on number of jobs, RAM etc. The lab machines have Kaldi installed and run on Ubuntu.

May I know:
1. If this is the correct link to follow instructions and install qsub?

2. We have 4 GPUs with 12 GB memory per GPU. Is it possible to control the allocation of GPU memory for each user using queue.pl? It is not very clear how GPU memory is passed as an argument inside the variable "path.sh/$cuda_cmd"

There are some instructions here
  http://kaldi-asr.org/doc/queue.html#parallelization_gridengine
We don't recommend sharing GPUs and it's not possible to use GridEngine to control the GPU memory use per user.  You should set the GPUs to exclusive mode and set up a 'gpu' resource as mentioned in that link.

If you set it up as recommended there, there won't be a queue called "g.q" which the default configuration of queue.pl expects if you use it with GPUs; but you can just create conf/queue.conf with the default value as you can find inside queue.pl, and remove the "-q g.q" option from that.
