Dear friends,

You are cordially invited to attend the next Kalamazoo Interfaith Forum on Sunday, January 11, 2015.

*At the end of our December meeting, we decided to return to the topic of idolatry for our January gathering since we never really discussed the topic back in November. At the November meeting, attendance was very low, so we opted for a period of silent meditation rather than a discussion.

Time:

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Topic: Idolatry. (The topic need not be understood as limited to the worship of idols or images, but could extend to extreme veneration of people, texts, institutions, etc. If you choose, you could also focus on misunderstandings concerning idolatry)

We will follow our usual format this Sunday: Each participant will give a 5 to 7 minute explanation of her or his perspective on idolatry, then a group discussion will take place.
