Kalakaar 2012 Minutes of Meeting - Dec 5th, 2012

Hi all, 

Here is what we discussed yesterday:

1) Hetal and Rohit are going to work on the winners page on kalakaar.org. 

2) Vivek/Kannan to email Vibha execs to ask what we need to put on the winner's page. Ideas that were brainstormed are: 

• Submissions helped raise $$
• $$ can be used to do XXXX for underpriviledged children
• New year brings hope to XX children
• Vibha thanks everyone who participated and made a difference. 

3) Vivek will be leading the award shipping part of the results. 

Arvind, could you please let us know if the best way to run the winning photos in all of Vibha's media outlets, is picasa albums or something else? I was also thinking of making a video of all the photos. What do you this?

Here is the task list as requested by Vivek:

1) FB updates (Hetal and Kannan)

• Photo updates/ winner updates/ Thanking the sponsors and pledge drive donors - Hetal
  
• Success stories, Engaging conversations - Kannan
  

2) Second/ Third rounds of Judging - (Ashwini and Vaishali) 

• Handling ties - Ashwini/ Vaishali
  
• Get winners addresses to post prizes - Vaishali
  
• Make album of winners for IT - Ashwini
  

3) Ordering Prizes ( Meenal and Vivek) 

• Follow-up with Rajesh about the volunteer in Adobe to get us the latest Photoshop software
  
• Follow-up with itasveer 
  
• Order ipad and itunes
  
• Order photo magazine subscription for Most Inspiring Photo winner 
  
• Order $25 gift cards and online photography magazine subscription for Runner-up

4) Website updates (Rohit) 

• Announce winners on website
  
• Talk to Arvind to put the album of winners on all Vibha media outlets

Here are my suggestions for broadcasting the winning pics:

• The photos can go into an album on our facebook page - please contact Gayathri for this.
• A blog post on our blog linking to these pictures. This will also get pushed into our monthly newsletter. To get setup with our blog, please create an account on wordpress.com and send me an email with your username.
  
• A video slideshow uploaded to our YouTube channel - send me the video and I will upload this.

We will have a Facebook album on the Kalakaar page. I can create another album on Vibha FB page. Gayathri has already make me an admin on the Vibha FB page. 

We need an album for displaying on Kalakaar website and Vibha website. How do we do that? Will the FB album do or do we need a picasa album?
