Dear Madam/ Sir,
Greetings.
This letter is to request the participation of your school in Dhanak Din : Nehru bal mela, A children and youth festival , on the 26th, 28th and 28th of November 2010 at – Nehru Memorial Library and Museum , Teen Murti Bhavan .
A wide range of colourful learning oriented fun activities are planned for children between the ages 5- 18 years. Woven around the theme - Re envisioning the city With Sensitivity and Dignity : Celebrating 150th birth anniversary of RabindraNath Tagore and the city. It celebrated the values of peace, nature and creativity _ the mela seeks to be inclusive, earth nurturing, peaceful and celebrates diversity.
We request that the school register for the mela and send us details of partcipants on the required form as soon as possible to avoid any confusion and disappointment . 20th of november is the last date for recieveing registration forms. It would be best to let chidlren choose a wide range of activities so they can actually meet and work children from different schools and instituion which is also the objective of such a mela. Beside these a very wide range of open actvities are also available, where the students can partcipate as they choose.
If your school would like to present a creative piece on the above mentioned theme, you could register for that as well . We would like it be of not more than 10 minutes duration and would request that movie songs and dances be avoided.
Transportation can be arranged for select underprivileged schools/ groups. Refreshments would be provided for participating students. Participation certificates would also be given to the students whose individual forms reach us in time. You can make photocopies of the forms attached.
