Hi,

"bundle" doesn't respect the local http_proxy, and it seems like
there's no work around; if you're behind a proxy you'll have to do a
sudo gem install for each gem, and it really is a pain.

Would it be possible to have an archive of all the required gems up
for download somewhere? I'll compile one and mail it over in a while
if you want.

Emaad.

I've attached a small Python script that tries to get the list of all
the gems required from the Gemfile, and then install them. However, I
don't completely understand the Gemfile and what is done for each
entry in it, since this is my first time working with Ruby.

It'd be nice if someone could finish this script to download all the
required gems behind a proxy.

Thanks!

Alright, this was before just now, when I figured out that a simple
"bundle check" lists all the required gems.

Sorry about all the noise.
