The Sydney Language Battery is a computer program that tests language at a single word level. There are 30 nouns with three or more syllables within the battery. Words are ordered with decreasing frequency and are graded into three broad levels of difficulty. Download the test (pdf, 18.3MB).

Other languages: For working with another (human) language, you need additional model files. We have model files for several other languages. And we have more model files for English, including for dealing with uncased English (that is, English which is not conventionally capitalized, whether texting or telegrams). You can find the latest models in the table below. Versions for earlier releases are available on the release history page.

Maven: You can find Stanford CoreNLP on Maven Central. The crucial thing to know is that CoreNLP needs its models to run (most parts beyond the tokenizer and sentence splitter) and so you need to specify both the code jar and the models jar in your pom.xml, as follows: (Note: Maven releases are usually made several days after a release on the website.)

2. Click the Add-Ins tab and you should find a QI Macros drop-down menu: NOTE: If the menu does not load, it is possible that a "Custom Toolbars" section has been added to the Add-ins, which hinders the "Menu Commands" section from being loaded. Right-click the Custom Toolbars and choose "Delete." Once deleted, select Ctrl+Shift+Q - the QI Macros menu should now load in the Add-ins section. 3. In the QI Macros drop-down menu highlight Data Mining then select Change Default Language: 4. The default language window will open. Input the number that corresponds to the language you want to use and Click OK.

A: Dictionaries is a really cool package, but it is big (29 dictionaries, 23 different languages), and all variants are not included for each language. I want to provide a package that has only one main language (fr_FR) with its technical variants. For information, I also contribute to Dictionaries, to keep it up to date in concordance to this Package. Currently, the French dictionary version included in Dictionaries package is the same as the one provided here.

A: You are free to clone this repo, provide any language you wish and add your package to Sublime Package Control. If I'm not lazy enough, I might add one or two other languages, but not more.

A: Even if I love the French language (my first language), I consider this page a little bit technical and I prefer to write technical stuff in English. Moreover I consider that people who want to add packages to Sublime Text are used to read English.

You can add any missing language in the System menu of the watch - the fresh text file will be downloaded as soon as you connect over the USB cable to Garmin Express. In case of troubles toggle the language to English and then back again to the desired language.

My message isn't going to be very constructive, but Garmin gives me the opportunity to express myself here, so...

I had and have a few Garmin devices, including a Garmin Instinct Solar, and my language file was also removed after the 10.10 update. And I'm also a user of a Linux distribution and Android...

I'm tired of having problems with language files on Garmin devices for years and having to spend hours to find a solution by myself.

I buy with my Garmin devices a service, including support and updates, and unless I'm mistaken, there is no obligation to buy a Windows or MacOS license on my device box.

I would like Garmin to offer a way to install/update these language files via USB Mass Storage mode or to have it fully supported by the Garmin Connect mobile application.

Thank you for reading me.

I didn't bash, I'm just saying publicly that I'm disappointed (here and on Twitter). It's unfortunate, but also well known, that it's easier to get support back this way. Besides, I never got a return of my previous ticket from the support...

Thank you very much for the file that will allow several French users to solve this problem, for this time... but it won't make my dissatisfaction disappear until Garmin provides a solution to the concerned users for the problems to come.

Yet, the easiest solution is in your hands. Simply accept that you are a minority, adopt it, and stop enforcing everyone to adopt your difference at the cost of the majority. Sufficient number of available options were offered to you. I am a FreeBSD user, but would never had the idea asking manufacturers of all equipment and software I use to start supporting my OS. Instead, I look for solutions myself.

Even my local Garmin reseller has been dealing with this recurring language file problem for years, for customers who never plugged their device into their computer, never installed Garmin Express, but use Garmin Connect on their smartphone.

Aside from the message catalogs included in these projects, there is a number of other files that can be localized. These include help pages, input forms and email templates. They are currently kept here until they are moved into the message catalogs in the future.

If you supply new translations, please make sure that they correspond to a stable release of DSpace and do not contain English tags nor references to your DSpace instance (e.g. name of your Institution). In partially translated Messages_xx.properties, just omit the untranslated tags. Messages.properties will be used as a fallback and untranslated tags are easier to detect with tools like the Eclipse Resource Bundle Editor if omitted.

Phrases may have parameters to be passed in, to make the job of translating easier, reduce the number of 'keys' and to allow translators to make the translated text flow more appropriately for the target language.

Given the English original (messages.xml or Messages.properties) and the corresponding translation file, this script will report both strings missing in the translation file and extra strings that shouldn't be in the translation. Tested on Python 2.7, requires ElementTree (wrapper for libxml2) for checking XML and/or jprops for testing .properties.

A python script to generate a messages_xx.xml file by merging existing translations from an older committed translation to the latest messages.xml file. Thus, you get a file with the latest keys, where you only need to look for the untranslated strings.

Given the English original (messages.xml and the corresponding translation file, this script will report both strings missing in the translation file and extra strings that shouldn't be in the translation.

Here's a useful Perl script that finds all of the dictionary keys in the JSPs and the `Messages.properties` file, and prints out keys that are used in the JSPs but aren't in the dictionary, and vice versa. Missing File: Find-unused-keys.pl Note: slightly out of date, can't detect message keys used in e.g. LocaleSupport.getLocalizedMessage() You'll need to change the variables at the top of the file to point to your DSpace source dir.

The Eclipse Resource Bundle Editor is a usefull tool to create and manage Messages.properties files. It is an "Eclipse plugin for editing Java resource bundles. Lets you manage all localized properties files in one screen. Some features: sorted keys, warning icons on missing keys/values, conversion to/from Unicode, hierarchical view of keys, more..."

The University of Patras in Greece have done the initial hard work of separating out text from the JSPs into a dictionary file and linking to it. MARTON Jozsef has build on this by parameterising the UI text.
