Dear Kairos Family

Here are the 4 steps to complete your 2025 DOC training. This should be faster and more straightforward than watching the youtube video or attending in-person training. 

1. Go to the DOC website at: https://doc.louisiana.gov/courses/prison-volunteer-orientation-training/ 

2. Create an account and do the DOC training for volunteers. 

This training includes 8 short sections to review. There is a simple quiz at the end of each section. 

In the second section, you will learn that you need to fill out then print and sign 4 documents. These are linked in that training section. 

After completing the training, you will receive a certificate. 

On the Volunteer Registration and Agreement, the Sponsoring Organization is Kairos Angola, the contact person is Michael Schultz and the Phone Number is 225-341-9817.

3. Scan (or photograph) the 4 signed documents and your valid picture ID.

4. Email these and an electronic copy of the certificate to the chaplains office at Anna....@la.gov

If you are not confident, please send them to me at agmi...@gmail.com for review first. 

I told Anna our team was capable of filling out the documents completely and including all necessary documents on the first try. Please help me make this true. 

Please let me know when you've sent these in so I know who still needs to complete their training.
