Dear Colleagues,
Who do you know who should take Gender Hub’s free online course, 'Gender-sensitive Governance: what does it look like and how can we work towards it?'
I’m sure many of you are working towards the elections that are just around the corner. So perhaps you could pass this message through your networks and contacts and encourage them to register, at:
http://genderhub-governance-151.eventbrite.co.uk
The course starts on 2nd February, 2015. It has been designed for a broad range of people, including: gender focal points within ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), gender leads in Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organisations
(CSOs), and those working in new and traditional media roles.
The deadline to register is: 29th January, 2015
As part of the DfID-funded Voices for Change, Nigeria programme, it provides participants with a general grounding in the current concepts of governance from a gender perspective and offers some examples and resources for applying these within key governance
institutions, with a focus on governments and on Nigeria.
In particular it tackles questions like: Why does gender matter for governance? How can we expose gender-blind institutions and processes? What strategies have enhanced the opportunities and outcomes for women and girls in government processes? What can we
learn from this and how can we integrate this into our own work?
If you have any queries, please do email the Gender Hub team, at:
in...@genderhub.org
Thanks for your help, and warm regards to you all.
