Prayers are powerful, now is the time for some more

Friends, One of the most amazing blessings of our journey is the loving bond that was created among all of us.  I saw it develop during the journey and I’ve seen it time and again since we’ve returned home.  Now is the time for us to come together to send some healing prayers to one of our Above + Beyond family.  Judith Allen learned this week that her cancer has recurred.  She will be beginning treatment next week.  Judith is feeling well, her spirits are good, and we are optimistic that the treatments will be effective.  Judith has given me permission to let you know about her recurrence.  I know that she has always been there to support us when we have needed some extra comforting along the way.  Now is the time for us to send Judith some healing thoughts and prayers.

 

Instead of using the Googlegroups email (which goes to everyone in the group), I’d suggest you send your healing messages to Judith directly.  Her email address is Judith...@drake.edu

Her home mailing address is 25 35^th Street, Des Moines, IA 50312.  (I know that handwritten notes and cards have special significance.)

 

We never know what twists and turns our life-journey will take.  The only certainty is that the love of family and friends is important, enduring, and has tremendous power to comfort and heal.  I always felt blessed and comforted when Judith led us in Tai Chi before our hikes in the mountains of Nepal.  I hope that our words, thoughts, and prayers can be as comforting to her.
