To: Election committee & Interim president

Greetings. I really wanted to quit the association as, we all were friends, before the formation of association and only the association divided us (not intentionally). But last evening, our neighbor Mr. Jonathan talk to me about how people are interested in the association now. He also asked to leave behind the bitter part happened to me.

As a supporting member from the start, I have decided to give it one more try.

I do not want to reinvent the wheel, and I also do not want to see the same mistake happen again.

So I gave it a thought and now I propose a strategy change. Instead of "election of office bearers, and they decide on what is good for people" as the starting point, I propose "What people want" as the starting point.

I am not altering any of the activities you have proposed now. I am just adding an additional parallel step to the ongoing process.

My proposed strategy:

Ask the members, from AG1 to JSF and/or other block to give their input and expectations on a white sheet/email with the same time-frame of nominations i.e. within Friday. Once they submit their expectations on time frame, the nominated members, on Saturday, read the expectations, see what is possible, what is correct, and see whether they can take up the challenge. Those who think they cannot do the job, can withdraw the nomination. This way I believe, no office bearer can be hurt later.

If the election committee or interim president chose to go ahead with this strategy, then a member can simply say "I abide by association" on the white paper/email, but cannot put his/her view on others or discourage this approach. By this way, both member and office bearer have the understanding of the expectations.

Hope you discuss the merits of my proposal.

Regards,
Hari Prakash,
JG1.
