Team Ugnayan, Early this morning, Dir. Cabrera of OCD 6 and Chair of RDRRMC 6 called me up to furnish information that concern government agency (PDRRMC Capiz?) have already prepared some financial assistance to Sir Arnold I. Leal c/o Sir Danny Navarra.
She also intimated that she will find other means within existing legal bounds to provide additional assistance. Surely, this is a very welcome development that indeed no less than our RDRRMC 6 Chair is doing her best to alleviate the plight of our fellow volunteer.

CWG was informed of said incident during the time when SUMVAC Operation 2011 was in progress. Initially, we requested the groups of the Provincial Communication Team (PCT) of Capiz to "Pass the Hat" so to speak - their way of expressing their concern to their fellow volunteer. The point person of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Capiz was also informed with request for possible assistance, if any. I was not able to provide information to the Ugnayan Net, because these are local concerns and find it appropriate that local groups / volunteers will attend to it. Certainly, we were very glad that some groups if not all groups of PCT of Capiz responded immediately and have already made contributions.
On the part of government, I could not find any official pronouncement or legal basis where government can provide relief assistance to our fellow volunteer to this kind of tragedy. Personally, I have pledge then that I will do my share (pass the hat) and sometime middle of May I will be in Roxas City to attend to some personal matters, and will surely get in touch with groups where I can course my little contribution.
Since this has been disseminated to the Ugnayan Net, we will appreciate it very much if you can also spare some little amount to our fellow volunteer who have lost all his belongings to fire. Sir Arnold I. Leal - the victim, is the groupmate of Sir Danny Navarra of Kabalikat Mambusao, an active participant in all disaster related concerns of the Province, Region and also the whole of the Ugnayan Net. You can course your assistance to Sir Danny, who represents the group in the CWG-Ugnayan.
It would be a high form of disservice if we still find the time, effort and provide assistance to others while we could not even lift a finger to Sir Arnold -our fellow Ugnayan Volunteer! We hope we can reciprocate his volunteerism with our immediate concern to his current plight!

Currently , naghahanap po sya ng shelter where to put his family and rebuild his house again. Wala po syang na save na kagamitan sa loob ng house nya except his vhf portable radio na gamit nya sa organization sa pagtulong sa kapwa. Thanks
