Hello,

I bought a Kabagaida at the Zabor in Gela, and after practicing a couple of times I have encountered two problems with which I would need some help:

1. When playing, the air flow through the chanter sometimes suddenly stops and no air comes out of the chanter until I release the pressure and build it up again. Is this a problem with the reed or the sack? How can I avoid this?

2. I also have a problem with the blow pipe leaking air out of the sack when I am not blowing air into it. I guess this is a problem with the leather piece supposed to work as a back stop vent. How can I fix this problem?

Thankfull for any suggestions and thanks for all the great instruction videos, scores etc. on Kabagaida.com! J

You're overblowing.  Don't blow too much.

2. I also have a problem with the blow pipe leaking air out of the sack when I am not blowing air into it. I guess this is a problem with the leather piece supposed to work as a back stop vent. How can I fix this problem?

Dip the leather piece into olive oil after each playing.
Peace.
