I hope you all enjoyed retreat as much as I did! And for those who were not there, I hope you have the chance to join our future retreats/events/activities without conflicts. We really miss you!

I would like to address a few things that are coming up concerning our well-being in the Cross Cultural Center and leadership growth/presence in the community.

==MANDATORY CROSS CULTURAL CENTER AFFILIATION MEETING==

It is imperative that we attend one (1) meeting either on: Tuesday, October 2 from 12pm to 1 pm or Friday, October 5 from 3pm to 4pm. The meeting will be held in Ring Room and each club that wishes to be affiliated with the Cross must be present with TWO (2) representatives, one of which should be a signer. I will be available for both meetings--but we only need to go to one. Sheryll or James should go, but If neither are available and you are available on any one of the dates previously mentioned and would like to come, please let me know ASAP! Your presence is greatly appreciated!

==26th ANNUAL MULTICULTURAL LEADERSHIP RETREAT (MLR)==

This is the first time I've heard of this event, but I have heard many great things about it. This free event will take place on Saturday, October 20 at the Cross. The Cross invites 4 board members to attend this invaluable experience that will help you as a leader and individual and at the same time allow you to be a part of the CCC history through strategic planning. If you would like to attend, please let me know and I will send you an application. The application deadline is on Friday, October 5, so please let me know ASAP! Did I mention it's FREE? 

==RIZAL MONUMENT IN CARSON==

I hope everyone is available on Saturday, September 29 at 9am so Kaba can represent at the new "Carson International Sculpture Garden" at the Carson Civic Center. Jose Rizal will be the first statue that will be inducted into the garden which is a great honor to Filipin@s/Filipin@-Americans. Let's roll deep and show them what Kaba is about!

And I am free for the CCC meetings both days
