Cinema City is a brand of multiplex cinemas in eastern and central Europe, run by the Israeli company Cinema City International (CCI). In Europe it has cinemas in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In Poland, Cinema City has almost 40% of the multiplex market, with Multikino its major competitor. CCI also runs a chain of Israeli multiplexes under the name of Rav-Hen.
In 2002 Cinema City took over Polish cinemas belonging to Ster Century Company, which withdrew from the Polish market. Cinema City started operating the following multiplexes: Janki, Promenada and Galeria Mokotw in Warsaw and Korona in Wrocław.
Worldwide, a growing number of cinema chains have chosen to install one or two Premium Large Format (PLF) screens: in 2016, the number of PLF screens grew by 11%. EMEA-based cinemas feature 295 exhibitor-branded PLF screens, over 40% of which are already equipped with Barco Flagship Laser projectors (120 installations).
Laser + more game-changing technology
By combining its laser portfolio with other groundbreaking technologies, such as the three-screen Escape panoramic format, immersive sound and the Barco Lobby Experience, Barco seeks to enhance the moviegoing experience at every touchpoint and, as such, draw more people to the movies, more often.
Palladiscope is a one-of-a-kind, custom made viewing system designed to play architectural cinema. Created specifically for the Palladium, it consists of 12 projectors, customized software, and components that make visual experiences and projections possible. Just as CinemaScope was an enhanced way to view movies, projecting them at a larger size, Palladiscope takes that idea even further by moving beyond the screen and onto the physical architecture of the Palladium.
The City partnered with Blockhouse Studios in Bloomington, IN for this project, which is funded by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission and Hamilton County Tourism.

The walls, seats, and floors are awash in the colors and striated patterns of the canyons and the signature star-field ceiling is reminiscent of a big, clear, star-filled night sky. One happy and unexpected result of the star-field ceiling is seeing how some acts integrate it into their performances.
The new Eccles Theater is a five-story building with two theaters, a grand lobby, outdoor terraces, private lounges and much more. We provide concessions, beverage services and coat check during performances.
Concessions for Delta Hall are located in the main lobby, on the first tier and on the second tier in the North lobby. Regent Street Black Box concessions are located in the lobby just outside the theater. Western Foods offers gourmet candies, baked treats, and beverages including bottled water, Coca-Cola products, coffee, and craft or domestic beers. They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card. All concession snacks and beverages are allowed in Eccles Theater seating areas. As a courtesy to those around you, please eat and drink as quietly as possible.
