After installing radiod I have used the fobos-generic.conf, all reporting looks good, control works, monitor works but without sound.
I created a new conf for wfm/FM BC band, all looks good but again no sound.
Now I have created a HF1 Direct Sampling conf, all looks good, can hear sound for FT8 frequencies for instance but the sound is stuttering (broken up). CPU % < 70% in a Oracle Virtual Box running Ubuntu 24.04 on a Windows 10 PC host.

Any suggestions how to tackle this audio issue would be appreciated.

The Fobos works in the same environment with for instance GRC, GQRX and OpenWebRx for which I created some .py setup files.
For other applications audio is no issue.

Thanks, Erwin

In the meantime I tried the Raspberry Pi4B and had about the same result.
I now have built it on bare metal Ubuntu on a powerful pc and it works a lot better, no audio issues, also FT4 and FT8 decoders working in multi bands.

As if radiod is happy when the cpu load stays under 40% and no other processes are interfering.
