so why would a girl go to or continue being in school knowing that she is
being prepared "for a career in medicine or education" only?

differently put, does there exist anywhere, or can one come up with a
secondary school curriculum designed to prepare girls" for a career in
medicine or education" only?

or am i asking "funny" questions, being a saturday morning?

And to add on to your question Alinane - Is it not discriminatory to choose
to educate girls in only two areas and leave out those who want to become
engineers or lawyers for example?

Also I think I would want to know who the directors of this school are and
what their full mission is. Can someone elaborate?

Furthermore, it occurs to me that this one of those overused Nigerian scams.

Does not the "@gmail " address speak volumes?

Otherwise let "Maki Paki" come forth and defend her/him/itself.

Herbert,

Is Maki Park properly a part of this group?

My apologies to all for the confusion. The school is being established
by a small NGO in Malawi called Raising Malawi. The website is
available at http://www.raisingmalawi.org

The school will not, in fact, prepare girls exclusively for careers in
medicine or education, but rather will prepare students for leadership
roles in these fields should they choose to follow these vocations.
Otherwise, it will provide a comprehensive 6-year A-level education.

For further questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

Many thanks for your patience and attention.

Ms Park,

Thank you for the slight clarification. Now this being an alumni grouping,
will you indicate to me the years during which you were at the Academy ...

Otherwise, this really is an unacceptable intrusion.

Once again Herbert, unless Ms Park demonstrates her belongingness, I
propose that she gets shut out from this grouping!

No apologies Ms Park.
