SDRMemory6k v5.3.2 Released

A new version of SDRMemory6k has been released. 

This version temporarily disables the "Export to Radio" function.  This action was necessitated by changes to the SmartSDR API which broke the function.

I will be working on making the necessary changes to SDRMemory6k to restore this feature.

I cannot get 5.3.2 to add memories. I get errors. I had to revert to 5.3.1 to be able to add memories. I added 3 memories and when I hit the save button on the 4th memory, my PC froze, causing a forced shutdown and reboot. Then after rebooting I launched the app and I get the error "root element is missing" . 

Any help is appreciated.

That error indicates that one of your .xml files is corrupt.  In the

 

C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\K9DUR Software\SDRMemory6k

 

directory, you will find the following 2 files:

 

1. SDRMemory6k_Memories.xml
2. SDRMemory6k_Settings.xml

 

You can fix the problem by deleting one or both of the files.  If you have a lot of memories entered, I would delete the Settings file first.  That file contains your program options settings.

I forgot to mention, there is a 3rd .xml file in that directory -- SDRMemory6k_Setup.xml.  Try deleting it first.  It is re-created when you start the program.

I am actively working on a new release of SDRMemory6k which I hope will be ready in the next week or so.  While I am working on the program, I cannot easily debug a problem.  If you can temporarily revert to an earlier version, the new version should take care of your problem.
