Below are role descriptions for 3 positions we would like to cover:

PM assistant (Japanese language)

Role description:

Responsibility for translation projects
Analyze incoming projects, quote preparation
Planning, tracking, staffing and financial management of the projects
Communication with client in Japan
Delivery of final products to the client

Requirements:

Experience with project management or coordination
Communicative level of Japanese language (speaking, writing, reading)

DTP (Japanese language)

Role description:

Analyze incoming DTP projects
Perform DTP on documents in Japanese
Implement customer or linguist feedback in Japanese documents
Organize and implement Quality Assurance checks before delivery
Signoff deliveries

Requirements:

DTP experience
Knowledge of InDesign, Quark or FrameMaker
Communicative level of Japanese language (writing, reading)

Machine Translation specialist

Role description:

Setup and maintenance of machine translation engine
Development of internal tools and utilities for MT engine
Perform MT on translation projects
Creation of quality & productivity statistics

Requirements:

Knowledge of LINUX and Perl
SW development experience (e.g. Java, C++)
Experience with data processing & knowledge of regular expressions
Communicative English (speaking, writing, reading)
