==========================
Happy Lunar New Year to prospective students:
I am Huy Nguyen, SPEA-The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) Indiana University-Bloomington, USA, Master of Public Affairs (MPA) Class of 2012 and Vietnamese Student Ambassador. I would like to invite you to be SPEA’s guest at a Coffee Hour on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. The event will be organized at "Khong gian sang tao Trung Nguyen", 36 Dien Bien Phu Street, Hanoi, Vietnam at 6:30 pm. I would like to introduce SPEA's masters programs to you as well as information about the application and admission requirements and "Vietnam Young Leader Awards" (VYLA). The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University has long been regarded as one of the top public affairs and environmental science programs in the US. In addition, I would like to share about my interesting and enjoyable experiences as a first-year graduate student in SPEA.
SPEA's Master of Public Affairs (MPA) offers an applied focus that teaches students to address society's complex economic, political, legal, and social issues that encompass public service. SPEA's environmental policy and nonprofit management concentrations are the best in the US (2009 US News & World Report). The ranking also listed SPEA's public financial management and public management concentrations in the top three.
SPEA's Master of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) was one of the first of its kind to be developed. It is considered to be one of the top environmental science programs in the country by the Council of Environmental Deans and Directors (CEDD). The MSES bridges the applied disciplines of chemistry, civil engineering, biology, and geology. With flexible degree requirements, it is easily adapted to a candidate's academic background and career objectives. The MSES is also part of a unique dual degree option within the School, which combines the MSES with the MPA (MPA-MSES).
RSVP for this event by Tuesday, February 15; 5:00 pm to hqng...@indiana.edu (Your name, email and phone for personal contact, proposed year of application). I look forward to hearing about your availability and look forward to the opportunity to meet you.
