Should I upgrade from K2 RC7 to K2 RC8?

Do I have to install K2 RC8 as a separate theme and then configure it?
Or overwrite the existing directories /themes/k2 ... ??

It seems a pity it can't just be upgraded from within Wordpress?

I am using 2.8.4 with no hacks but with 5 widgets and a custom header
file.

What do I do, apart from backing everything up first and
experimenting, some guidance would be very much appreciated.

My blog is at http://theflowerraj.com

Thanks to all in advance,

Yes.

You can overwrite and all should be well. Backup your DB first, just
in case, but I've never had many problems with upgrading K2.

WP doesn't support this for themes yet, I don't believe.

Kinda Jumping in last min.

Be careful not to override your custom theme files.

The best way to insure this is to use child themes.
