Is anyone familiar with Clever?  It seems like a great resource, but for some reason our database administrator is hesitant to give them access to PowerSchool.  They seem pretty legit to me and appear to offer a very useful service for schools.  Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Does anyone have any experience with Clever Technologies?  One of my colleagues has suggested it for transferring data between PowerSchool and My Big Campus.  Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Clever other than what they provided me in their white papers.  Any input you can provide is most appreciated.

We are in the process of utilizing Clever with CurriculumLoft.  So basically Clever acts as a middle man for data imports into various applications.  In our case it is CurriculumLoft but they have partnerships with all kinds of companies. (I hope to use with more in the future) So how it works, is you send to them your raw data from your student database, and they manipulate and setup the data per the requirements of the application, thus removing the need to maniuplate or creating special reports or exports.  Beth, it is my understanding that Clever doesn't have access to your database (PowerSchool, in your case) but rather, we are given a SFTP location and login, and we place our data on their FTP server.  We plan to do this with batch files and scheduled tasks nightly.   So not sure why you would be giving Clever access to Powerschool.  Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss further.

I am sitting in a Khan Academy training session today and they also mentioned Clever. I ad never heard of it before, but it certainly seems like a good service. Especially since they connect with so many different services. My plan is to investigate it and recommend we implement it.

Beth, let me know what you decide.

I'm just now seeing this solution and I'm very intrigued by it.  This may be perfect for the Google Apps synchronization with student account in Aspen X2, as it appears to be one of their supported vendors.  Is anyone using this for Google?  Any chance of tying it in with Active Directory, even from just a proper export format?  Google is most important, but AD is intriguing too, even though they primarily list web apps.
