I have a user that somehow got his display name changed in Gmail to just his initials. I logged into the dashboard and can't find anywhere that it is changed. Something tells me it is tied to Google+ but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yes, Dana. We had the same thing happen. A student set up his Google+ account using the name Captain Dan something or other and we could not find him in the directory.

Our experience is the same as Anns: a user's name set in Google+ trumps anything we can set in the Dashboard. The only way we can find for the name to be changed is for the user to change their own G+ displayed-name (which they do by going to their G+ Profile page then hovering over their name and clicking when "Click to edit your name" shows up).
