AwesomeTable alternatives?

Hey everyone! I've been using AwesomeTable for a long time now. My biggest uses are for displaying a staff directory, and for displaying to the local bus company all of the vehicle requests that have been made.

Last year they decided to monetize AwesomeTable, but let us continue using for free since we are a school, and our use was light.

They've now alerted us that we need to start paying. The rate we're being quoted is well above anything we'd consider paying for it, so we need to find an alternative.

(BTW, I'm all for companies making products and making money. Not everything in life is free! The value for the price being asked just isn't there for us.)

We could give public view access to our staff directory sheet, but that would not be searchable, and would look kind of cheesy.

We have WordPress, and I suppose I can see if there's a directory plugin that would do the job.

I believe Google will soon be rolling out a DB/tables product that should do what AwesomeTable does?

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has alternatives to AT they'd like to share.

We are running a WP website and using a plugin called Inline Google Spreadsheet Viewer.

I know I tried quite several plugins before I settled on this one.  Really nice set of features. Easy to use and so far has been kept updated. Just use it at this time for our staff directory at http://jcsk8.org/about-us/staff/staff-directory/.

Take a look at Airtable. It doesn't integrate directly but it might be a good alternative for the cases you mention.
