Anyone using Google App Maker yet??

If so, how do you like it??

Looking into using it... would love to leverage it to combine and simplify / app-ify some of my homegrown systems here that I'm currently using google sheets and google app script for... 

Does anybody know what's the deal with the GCP SQL that needs to be set up? are there any free instances for EDU? or can the AlwaysFree plan cover this(GCP Free Tier )

according to getting started:
Make sure Google Cloud is enabled for your organization
Google Cloud SQL is part of GCP and has its own pricing structure. 
 
Check the status of GCP in your domain. If it’s already on, skip to the next section.
If your domain isn't using GCP, create an account. You may be eligible for a free trial.
You need to:
Accept the Terms of Service.
 Add your company information and set up billing
