Hello.

I´m trying to use the autoCrat script to pull data from a spreadsheet and merge two different documents, but I can´t seem to find a way to do it...

I can successfully pull data from the spreadsheet and create a document, but I would like to create two docs, using two different templates, at the same time.

Is there a way to achieve this?...

Thank you in advance for your help.

You have to split your data out to separate sheets and then run autocrat. Check out the pushData script to accomplish this easily.

Thanks Henry, I´ll give it a go tonight and will report back.

It just seems a shame that there isn´t an option in autoCrat to merge multiple docs from different templates. This is one extra step that isn´t necessary.

I certainly can't complain about such a powerful free resource :)

Let me know if you need a hand.

I managed to get it working, and it´s just what I needed!

Thanks Henry! :)

By the way, is it possible for autoCrat to update an existing merged document if one makes changes to the spreadsheet that holds the original data? I seem to always end up with a duplicate of the first merged doc if I try to do it.

One last question... If someone submits a form, is there a way for them to access the same form, change or add what they need to change, and be updated on the spreadsheet with the new information?

Thank you...again! :)

Check out Doc Appender

People can update responses if you allow it by checking the box to allow this when you create the form

Fantastic! I didn´t see that little option on the bottom of the form... Silly me!

Doc Appender is great, but it requires you to chose a specific doc to alter and it creates data. I just want to update existing cells in an automatic, on form submit kind of way. It´s not feasible for me. I need something similar to what formMule does to calendar events. Any change in dates, gets reflected straight away (albeit only works for one change. As soon as that Event Status Update field is populated, that´s it...)

Thank you Henry.

I have never done that - I just make a new document.
