This afternoon none of our Chromebooks are showing the apps in the apps list or the pinned apps that are setup in the dashboard.  Why would this happen?  I looked at the dashboard and nothing has changed.  Has anyone had this happen before?

Thanks!

Doug,

Same issue at our school this afternoon.  Students logging into the Chromebooks were only seeing the basic icons of Gmail, Drive, etc. but nothing else.  Not sure if the issue is resolved.

Seems to be working fine now.
As far as I could test, it affected all apps/extensions hosted on the Chrome Web Store, also for desktop Chrome users. Bad timing, as we had 60 students trying to get acquainted with their new Chromebooks...

It started working fine again in the late afternoon.  I just wasn't sure if it was just are network or Google.

Not sure if this is the same problem you are experiencing…. But as an fyi… We had a cart of 30 chromebooks in one building and a few in another building receive the attached error stating that the user’s profile could not be opened correctly. The chromebooks took 1.5 minutes to log in to get past this error. Once logged in, users saw only 3 icons, Chrome, Store and one other. They did not see Drive. Google told us it is a glitch on their side. We wiped the devices and re-enrolled them and they are now working. Can’t imagine having to do this if we were a 1:1 environment. Perhaps Google is working on another solution.

“As I mentioned on the call this is a bug that we are experiencing. You will need to wipe the device and re-enroll it. This link https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/1360642?hl=en provides the steps on how to wipe the different Chromebooks available. Anyone seeing this error at all?  Just started yesterday afternoon.  It is related to our filter certificate not showing up in the certificate manager.  The weird thing is that we really should see this message on all of our chromebooks, not just some of them if things aren't working with the certificate.  Also, the chromebooks with this message are not getting their apps installed.  I'm waiting for tech support to call back because we have about 300 with this problem.
