I am thinking of implementing a cloud-to-cloud backup solution for selected users in our domain.  I am concerned about our high density calendar users.  The two solutions that I saw in the Google Marketplace were:

Does anyone have experience with these or other solutions?

We moved from a MS Exchange server one year ago where we had nightly backups to protect us.  I am already using Postini for message archiving.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I think either of those solutions would handle what you are looking to do. I have started hearing more about Spanning lately, so they must be gaining some ground on Backupify.  However, they both tend to be pretty expensive as well. If you get a chance, please give us a look as well at gagglemail.com. We can archive the email, and back up your Docs, calendar appointments and even gTalk messages for the same or less than just the Postini archive is costing you currently. Thanks Jim.

We have been using Spanning for about 6 months. Other than my initial testing of a bakup/restore procedures, I have not had to restore any data. It is pretty straight forward and easy to use. I have it to backup all our faculty and staff, not students.

I'm a big backupify evangelist, at least until Vault can backup apps.

I have tried to implement Backupify twice and it has taken Google sites down for us! I think there may be issues with some GAFE elements in their API. Neither Google Support could identify the issue.
