Why I didn't know about this before is beyond me. But I recently learned of the ability to push a folder of bookmarks out to OUs for people signed into Chrome.

So I created a folder of staff-related bookmarks, and assigned them to the OU our staff members are in.

I've waited 24 hours for them to appear in Chrome on my Mac. I am signed into Chrome. Nothing.

I've checked a number of staff members, and none of them have this magic new folder.

I signed myself into a Chromebook. THERE IT IS! YAY!

My colleague signed into a Chromebook. THERE IT IS! YAY!

Alas, it isn't appearing for us in the Mac version of Chrome.

Does anyone have this working across all platforms? Am I missing something?

On the MAC try re syncing the broswer. If that doesn't work. Take your account off the browser then add it back.

Hi Jessie,

There is a service called Chrome Management under Apps - Additional Services -  this is most likely turned off in your admin console. Turning it on will allow you to manage chrome policies for devices other than Chromebooks like OSX, Windows and Linux. This is will apply settings when users sign-in with their school account.

Another cool feature is that if you are using GPOs through AD (or managing p.lists for OSX), you can actually create a nested folder structure for Chrome bookmarks. Please keep in mind this will only show up on your windows devices.

Cheers,

Tim
