Is there a way in the management dashboard to log a user of and/or lock their screen when the lid closes? I only see the "lock on idle" but I want to be able to close the lid and be idle for no certain amount of time. I just want it to lock as soon as the lid closes. Is there a way in the management dashboard to do this?

I *think* the user can set that setting per account but that's not feasible.

Also when choosing yes to lock on idle - where is the idle amount of time set?

Thanks!

Melissa,

I believe “Always automatically lock screen on idle” is the setting you want.  All of our chromebooks lock as soon as the lids are closed and we have “Screen Lock” set this way.  I vaguely remember that there used to be an item in the dashboard specifically for what happens when the lid closes, but I don’t see that anymore.

This setting can be applied to the entire organization or to a specific sub-organization, but I don’t believe you can directly apply it to a user.
