I have enabled google Classroom for our domain and when a teacher (who is in the group already) tries to click on “I am a Teacher” in the classroom.google.com page, she gets message “Oops, there was an error! Please try again.” We cannot get passed this. Any ideas? Is this still under construction? I can’t get with Google support until tomorrow so wondering if any of you is dealing with this. Thanks!

I'm so sorry. We have the same issue and here is my tale of woe (let's see if you are in the same boat).

Being the digital clean freak that I am, one day 2 weeks ago I was deleting old groups that were out of date. I cam across a group named "Classroom Teachers" which had no users. I thought the group was created by a LS principal who left the school and deleted the group.

When I Googled the same error your getting, I found a reference to that group. Its created by Google Classroom. And if its deleted you get that error.

The fix? Here's the woe...... Google confirms the error and has no know fix. They are working on it with a high priority. No known estimate on it being resolved.

Is there a moral to this story? Perhaps if you're not sure what something is, DON'T delete it. And don't be so anal retentive.

Have a happy school year!

Hi David, I have read about the issue. The thing is that I never deleted the mentioned group. As a matter of fact, we did not have any group called classroom_teachers at all. When I enabled classroom, we had the error so I started reading some of the instructions and decided to create this group. I just went to check the logs, just in case my other admin deleted it but it looks like we did no have it at all. Hopefully they resolve this issue quickly....!!!
