Hello,

I am in a High School and with the some of the Phishings scams that are out there I am considering using 2 factor authentication.

Here is an article in which Google suggests using it to combat this particular phishing scam:

I was wondering if there are any issues using/implementing 2 factor authentication especially in an educational environment.

Thanks,

The biggest "problem" we as a tech team have with it is that when we reimage computers each summer, we like to sign in as staff and set things up for them, get them signed into Chrome, all that stuff.

If they have 2 Factor turned on, it acts as a brick wall for us as we can't go any further in the setup. Not a lot of our staff have turned it on, but some have.

Personally, though, I use it and wouldn't be without it.

I have set it up with our Administration.  We had a couple fall for the Google Shared Doc Scam and I was tired of cleaning up the damage.

No issues since its been implemented.
