Good Morning

Google Drive Questions:  If I download the desktop file for a Google Drive folder on more than one computer, then everything I put in any of those folders (even though different computers) would end up in the cloud (Google Drive), correct??  And if I am logged into 2 different Google accounts (GAFE and a personal account) on 2 different browser windows, how does the Google folder know which to sync to?

Google Hangout Questions:  I was playing around with this last night and the share and live features are quite interesting.  Has anyone heard if G+ will be made available at all for Google Apps for Education? I know they are concerned about younger users on G+ but Hangouts have a lot of potential.  I wonder if Hangouts could be a stand-alone feature as well.  Three features I really like are 1) the ability to share Google Docs within the hangout (and be able to edit on the fly), 2) Ability to share youtube videos together, and now 3) ability to go live with the hangout so people can watch if the room is full.  Number 3 leads to my last question, if the hangout is longer than 15 minutes does it get archived in youtube (as a 15m video is usually the limit).

That's what I thought.  It would be great if they could have Google Drive subfolders that could link to separate accounts.  I'm sure many people have this issue.  You might have a husband/wife with 2 different accounts using the same computer or like many of us in education...a personal and GAFE account.

I can only answer the first question.  When you install the desktop version of Google Drive you tell it which account to sync to.  Unfortunately, right now you can only sync it to one or the other.

Take a look at this hack way of using google drive with multiple accounts (I actually went to high school with Josh): https://plus.google.com/u/0/108865324810272946151/posts/dGEXMMEzYdT

As for hangouts.   Until the legal age issues around g+ gets worked out I would not expect to see it in k-12.   But that doesn't mean you can't ask permission to use your personal account to broadcasting.  Which makes me think that if I could limit my broadcast to a specific circle that would be very helpful to schools.

As for youtube 15min thing.   If you log in you can request to have that limit taken away.  As long as our account is not flagged with copyright issues they will likely approve the request.   While you are there you probably should also request to be listed as an EDU channel.  I don't know the process as someone from google approached me about it.
