Folks

We use EDLINE for our student/parent LMC.  It has a SSO connection with GAFE.

My question is....if I turn on SSO in GAFE, does that mean that any school domain login must be done through EDLINE?  In testing this, it appears that once SSO is turned on in the GAFE settings, my users can't just go to www.gmail.com for email.

Thoughts?

Yes. SSO takes over authentication and users will no longer be able to login directly to Gmail or any other google service without authenticating against Edline.

The exception to this is the URL:

Currently, this URL directs users to the Google Apps Control Panel and users can sign in at the URL without SSO. I think this URL might be going away though, as google recently replaced it with admin.google.com which I believe enforces SSO rules. -Joe

Hmmmm.....interesting.

Anyone else out there using SSO for GAFE accounts?

Thanks!
