Yearly classroom Inventory

I am working on an electronic document for our teachers to input their classroom technology inventory into. I was thinking of doing a google form??? Next year I would like to send them the document filled in and they just make changes as needed. Anyone else doing something like this? If so could you share your ideas.

I just did a shared spreadsheet.  The first sheet was a template of the headings I wanted them to fill out.   The first year I did this teachers would open the spreadsheet, then duplicate the template sheet and rename it to their classroom.  This leaves a spreadsheet with all the classrooms at the bottom.   Subsequent years we just send out a reminder to update their room's inventory.

We are on year 3 of this setup and it has worked out very well.
