Ideas for grant money for technology?

Recently, even though our district is experiencing budget cuts,
there's a small amount of money available for technology ideas. I'm a
tech nut, teach second grade, and was wondering if anyone had any
ideas. The two grants are for $1000 and $2000. I was thinking about
a possible project with Palm Pilots. Does anyone do anything with
Palm Pilots? Does anyone have any other ideas? Please e-mail me at
