If there's one accurate measurement of a person's fame
and popularity, it's how many times his or her name
appears in the Google newsgroups.
<
Using this as a criteria, it won't be long before Ed Conrad
is more infamous and unpopular than even Adolf Hitler.
<
Recent statistics reveal that the name "Adolf Hitler"
appears 197,000 times. Meanwhile, "Ed Conrad," aka
The Ignorant Bastard, is mentioned only 123,000 times
-- but the number keeps growing daily.
<
It should be noted that the name "Josef Stalin" appears
just 77,300 times, certainly putting him out of contention
for the title of "Most Unpopular Human Bean Who Ever Lived."
<
Incidentally, "Jeffrey Dahmer," who gained world-wide fame
by murdering and then eating at least 17 men and boys,
appears only 23,500 times.
