I am in a first semester foundational Education course in
an Instructional Design - Masters in Ed program.

I have to write a 10-15 page lesson plan covering a statement
of problem, definition of learning model, defense of learning model
chosen, rubrics, assessments, teacher plan, etc.

What I would like to do is an advanced computer science class for
Juniors or Seniors who've taken other programming classes, and
have a deeper interest in computers and programming.

I'd like to weave in a work-study opportunity with a local
firm (information technology department) for students who show
motivation, and maintain high grades.

Where can I find good materials including rubrics, statement of
task/goal, learning models used, class-by-class topical information,
etc.

What I've been finding online is all over the map, and covers to many
different diverse areas. I'm thinking about programming, perhaps in
Java, Python, or Ruby (will take better suggestions).

Thanks everyone in advance.

The subject line says "AP Computer Science." If you really mean that, then
you don't have a lot of flexibility; there's a curriculum you have to follow.

But if you mean "advanced" rather than "AP," teach them Abelson and Sussman!
