Identified this as shattercane (Sorghum bicolor ssp. x_drummondii) for the Bayer Cropscience person who came to the herbarium on 9/30.

This field is near Munjor, KS.  This seems more like a forage or sudan outcross (no tubers on roots), but we would like confirmation that it is not shattercane.

 

I have plant samples of this as well.
